The Bentwater Homeowners Association hosts several great events every year for residents and guests including Movie Nights, Fall Festival, holiday celebrations and more. Bentwater also host various groups at the elegantly appointed clubhouse. The club house is available for residents to host private parties for a nominal fee. Residents are kept up to date on community events and news through a community website and professionally produced glossy magazine, The Bentwater Gazette mailed once a month for free to each homeowner.

Bentwater was developed by Cousins Real Estate Corporation and won several awards in its early development. The Paulding County Builders Association named Bentwater the Subdivision of the Year in 2000 and 2001. The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association gave Bentwater four Professionalism Awards in 2001. And Bentwater has consistently remained one of the top selling neighborhoods in Acworth, GA and all of Paulding County since it opened.
